Default 96 LX AC Wiring Problem

Hey guys, I know this is more of a performance board but I was wondering if someone could shed some light on a good ol' AC problem. From the picture below you can see that wire sticking out from the compressor. I assume this should go to a connector that engages the compressor, however there is no loose connector or other fitting to be found. I bought this car from a guy that had repaired some driver side front end damage and I'm guessing that wire got lost in the process. Does anyone know the path of the wire from the dash switch to the compressor or if I'm even anywhere close to what the problem is? Any help is much appreciated.

Body repairs can be a nightmare. There is no telling what you need.

Hey I don't know how high your knowledge is or how much your comfortable doing. But i would train grab a wiring diagram for your year car and locate that wire and see what it dose and where it goes.

Here is a Diagram for a 1994 Honda Accord. So it Should be the same. The AC is one of the First Diagrams its 2 pages for AC

Its for the compressor clutch coil. The problem is finding the harness wire. Who says it doesnt have a harness from a non ac car? Anything is possible

True, they could have done anything in the fix. I've looked at wiring diagrams but they don't really tell me where how the wire runs through the car. I'm hoping that it's just that wire that needs connecting as the other compressor components seem to be connected as they should. Thanks for the help guys.

If you look right below the relay, you can see a red piece of wire with a bare end. That wire is the one you need to hook up to your compressor wire. According to Honda factory service manual, the wire that runs the compressor is red. Put a test light on that wire and turn on the AC with the car running. If the light comes on, you have verified that's the wire you are looking for.
