Yeah, its Canadian. Its got daytime running lights. Anyone know what the mechanical function of the daytime runners is? I'd like to try this, maybe.

my 90 EX <---- Canadian has daytime running lights but the thing is i don't have a sunroof or leather... i have everything else
my cousin had a 1997 EX-R the difference was the VTEC head and sunroof he did have leather... the accord was fully loaded until he moved to BC and then wrecked it

American cars didn't have DRL's as standard until a few years ago.
I remember all the right wing nut-***** wanted to disable theirs because they felt it was a goverment intrusion into their lives.

Dude, if Honda ever had DRLs in the US I'd kill myself. DRLs are the dumbest thing. I'll control my headlights thank you.
Car and Driver said it well: "DRLs are for dump people who can't tell the difference between a car (headlights) and a deer (no headlights)."

I'll make the argument that parking lights used as DRL's do make a difference. I certainly think they should stay away from headlights as DRL's though. That causes too much confusion between cars and motorcycles.

I often turn on my hyper white PIAA 100 watt (or something) low beams during the day, but only when I see fit. People gotta take responsibility for themselves.

I understand that. I don't like automatic headlights, wipers, climate control, volume control, or anything else that goes on by itself.
I think automatic wipers take the cake.
By the way, my buddy has been pulled over numerous times in his gf's Jetta at night because he never turns on the headlights. It has full brightness DRL's and the gauges even light up too.

LOL, I forgot about those.
Remember the little parking masts that would rise out the rear fenders when you put the car in reverse of the 500SELs?
Those women still backed into solid objects.

Re: ex-r (4doorH22)
I'm the 2nd owner of my car, which was bought by a Connecticut resident in Montreal, then somehow my car ended up in Woodbridge, VA (Hendrick Honda) where I purchased it. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the kmh speedo I would like, but everything else seems to be the same as the EX model.

Did I read that right you have a usdm 00 h22a4 with a OBD I set up?
Bro, would it work in my 96 cord? My ECU is a OBD2. Everyone tells me OBD1 is better but I wasn't aware you can do that.
Can you share the knowledge on how?

Re: 4doorH22 (4doorH22)
[QUOTE] Converting the H22A4 to OBDI is tedious. Also, I hear 96-97 Accords are the hardest to swap. Must be something with the OBDII wiring.
i ll let you know in a few weeks
i ll be putting the 96 h22 in the 96 accord
plus i found a guy in montgomery who makes a harness. i think that all you do is plug the harness adaptor to your wiring harness.. then plug the harness to the new ECU.. and clip or do somethign to the extra o2 sensor.. just hear say. i have to look at it more
