Re: to all the honda fans and experts this is a must see!!!!!
99's are nice cars.....BUT there is One MAJOR flaw.... The Tranny. The 98-02 automatic trannys (especial the V6's) are well known for Craping out. Check out the Accord picture thread in the FAQ's.

What????? were is this info coming from?
The 6th gen (98-02) V6 4sp automatic transmissions are the problematic transmissions.
The 6th gen V6 Accord, sedan or coupe, EX or LX, did not come with a 5sp manual option. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please....... that is why people are always wanting to swap the manual gear box out of the Acura's
OP, if your looking to spruce up the 6th gen 4dr, V6 your options are limited. There isn't much of a following for aftermarket engine parts. Boosting would be the most reliable way to add power to the J30A1. To do that you will need to do a trans swap right off the hop. (8th gen 6spd or Acura 5spd with major chassis mods) The 4spd auto can barely handle the 200hp it's putting out as it is. Now this is only hear say. Do some research into the available transmission swaps into the CG16 chassis.

I guess that shows you how little I pay attention to automatic 6th gen Accords Eh! Personally I would never own ether of them. So I guess I learned something new today.

Re: got a couple questions about my 99 Accord V6
get a big bottle of nitrous, it'll make you go fast. also do a search, there's a lot of info on the forums thats easily searchable, and probably quicker than waiting for a response
