Why would my check engine light come on after i have driving at a high speed then go to slow down?

by any chance have you checked the code?
do you have obd1 or obd2??
what car, motor, mods do you have? that could be helpful.

I have a 90 honda accord with a 2.2 motor. I was told it is to old for obd1 or obd2 tests
