cb7 to cd5 suspension compatabillity
hi,
I have a 5 lug cb7. A few days ago the car was total loss. Someone ran a red, and bye bye front end. no suspension damage.
Im thinking of buying a cd5 accord. Im almost sure i can reuse the front shocks and springs. (koni yellow/ tein s). Im not sure on rear.
Pertaining to the 5 lug i dont want to re buy all the bearings and hubs and etc, to do it again. Does anyone know if i can just unbolt the suspension arm that connects to the lower and upper controll arm? that way i would just take off to castle nuts and a brake line instead of doing it all over again. eyeballing the front the arm looks the same. dont have a clue about the rear.
Dont have both cars in the garage to compare. any help will be apriciated.
thanks... if asked before please redirect.

Re: cb7 to cd5 suspension compatabillity
I believe you can just swap em over. The springs and shocks will also. On the rear, you have to use the cd5 control arms. theres been guys who've tried to do the cd5 rear suspension on a cb7 and they had some alignment issues.

its not the parts. I just dont want bust the mission again. The ideal thing would be to swap the cb parts over to the cd. Brake hardware and all. It would be a matter of a few bolts and bleeding the brakes for the 5 lug. if not im going to have to dig into my wallet and get some motivation to do it.
The arm that im talking about is the one that goes to the upper and lower controll arm where the spindle and rotors are on. I just forgot what its called. if they are the same then i lucked out because i dont have to use a press anymore, i can just bolt the 5 lug on. which is what im hoping for
thanks for the help. I really apriciate it
