In pic #5 you can see the bushings are not preloaded, that is because as seen in pic #3 the bushings are not compressed by the through bolt.
Honda and Prothane replacement bushings use the factory crush sleeve through the bushings, there is no pre-load on the bushings.
ES and typical end-link kits put the bushing in direct compression(pre-load) from the through bolt.
IIRC ES instructions require the vehicle to be at ride height and to tighten the nut/bolt until the bushings just begins to bulge. With both sides installed verify the exposed thread past the nut is the same on both sides. You don't want to have the endlinks unequally preloaded.
If you tighten the bolts of the ES endlinks when the suspension is compressed or in droop, the bushings will be cocked and the endlinks will not be perpendicular to the sway bar ends. This will not allow you to properly preload the endlink bushings equally.

Mike,
Thanks a lot. Your explain makes sense. I put the car on jack stand and tried to re-adjust the end link today. The ES bushings' shape are already changed, so I just adjust the bolts to make sure both side tightened to the same degree.

Addition to my last post:
I replaced the sway bar to subframe bushings with the polyurethane kit as well. I would recommend it to anyone. It was very easy to do, just 4 bolts. One side at a time. Just be sure to figure out which diameter sway bar you have so you order the correct kit.
Car handles nicely.

Here's some general advice to all about the sway bar front end links 97 accord:
Get the kit with the new bolts and bushings. It's listed earlier in this post. The metal in the old hardware was caked with dried old rubber. I would have saved myself about 30 minutes if I didnt have to clean the old hardware.
I lubed with silicone dielectric
Be sure to clean the sway bar to bushing contact surfaces. I used a wire brush attachment on a die grinder.
I had the car on jack stands. I used the floor jack to raise and lower the sway bar ends during installation.
Very cheap upgrade to handling of car. Less body roll.
I'm looking into the bushings that hold the bar to the subframe next.
