Default air bag deployment

2000 honda accord air bag has deployed and been replared, now the wheel is violently shaking e steering when I drive at the speed of 40. Is this normal?

Your air bag being replaced or going off has nothing to do with this. It more then likely is going to be something in the suspention that needs replaced.

check the balance of the wheels before anything. its the cheapest of all.

well thank you but the car is now totaled after I picked it up from the air bag repair shop. The shaking started after that? who knows? Thanx.

What now? So the car wasnt totalled, but now it is? Explain. I would imagine if its a front end collision it would be something broke and/or bent in the suspension or frame of the car. What was the reason it was totalled out?

The car was shaking violently, I could not get control of it, then I hit a pole head on. Who knows why?

Since the shaking was only at a particular speed, I agree that the balance of the wheels should have been checked, followed by the suspension / alignment.

Either the shaking was so bad that the car was unsafe to drive in which case you shouldn't have been driving it, or you are a bad driver.

Just be glad that it was only a pole and not a pedestrian who got hit.
