98 Accord squeaking noise..
Hello,
I have a 1998 Accord, and recently I have a high pitch squeaking noise (like metal is rubbing against each other) from the front left side of the car.
This only happens when I am turning at low speeds. Also if I have the car parked, and I turn the wheel you can hear this noise.
I was thinking that it is a CV joint?
Its not the brakes since they are fairly new, and it doesnt affect the sound when you press on the brake.
It has recently become very cold where I live, so could that have an effect?
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: 98 Accord squeaking noise..
its not the cv joints. you know a cv joint is bad if you hear clicking when turning. have the drivers side suspension checked. outer or inner tie rod could be bad. also ball joints going bad can cause noise. and the radius rod bushing could be faulty also though i have never had to replace one of these

Thanks for you reply Bdmlilburn.
You were right, it was the Ball Joint on the driver side.
I ended up just spraying some WD40 onto the ball joint, and it seems to have fixed the problem.
Cheers
