96 Honda Accord VSS replacement
Hi, I have 1996 Honda Accord EX car. I need to replace speed sensor(VSS). But I couldn't find VSS location. Where does speed sensor locate? How to replace it? Do you know any about 96 Honda accord VSS replacement procedure with pictures? Thanks a lot!

Re: 96 Honda Accord VSS replacement
It's just two or three bolts that hold it on. For the manual car it's almost directly below the intake arm on top of the transmission, should be one of the only things with a wired plug going into it. You will have to remove the intake arm and have a ratchet extension/skinny arms to get down to it.
Do a search I know it's been discussed in depth.

Re: 96 Honda Accord VSS replacement
Thanks for all the threads on this subject. My 96 Accord/4Cyl has only one
bolt hole on the VSS, on the tranny just opposite the right front tire.
I have a new VSS now, but still have a CEL, no speedometer and no cruise control.
(I have checked all electrical connections, inside and out. Self diag indicates still
a bad VSS (Code 17) but it is new.) Odd.
I have searched several threads but I am not finding any specific ideas
with regard to these symtoms.
Still looking. Thanks.
