92 Accord fans not working
I have a 92 Accord LX Auto and only fan B is working. ( after car shuts off) Fan A seems to be dead. I had to replace the battery in the car last week because it was dead.
Under normal driving the temp is fine. When I come to a stop, the heat gauge starts to creep up and I have to put the car in neutral and slightly hold the accelerator down to get the temp to come back to normal. I tried turning on the A/C but the fans don't seem to work? I am wondering if it is the thermostat or a temp sending unit on the thermostat? Any help or suggestions would be great! Thanks.

So are you saying that when you turn on the a/c neither fan works or just the one that runs when the car is turned off?

Re: (MooGoCow3)
Okay, here is what I did last night after work. I ran through all of the fuses and none of them are blown. I checked the fans by turning on the a/c and both fans come on like they should. When I turn off the car, the aux fan works as well.
I did notice that the temp gauge will climb and if I hold the accelerator down for a little bit, the temp comes back down. The fans are not coming on when the temp gauge climbs or when I hold the accelerator. It sounds to me like it might be narrowed down to the temp sending unit or the thermostat? Any Ideas?

While the engine is hot, feel the bottom radiator hose. If it is significantly cooler than the top hose, you should probably replace the thermostat. Be sure and use a honda thermostat because alot of people have trouble with aftermarket thermostats not allowing enough water through. If you hold them side by side, you will see the difference. If the bottom hose is hot, unplug the temp switch on the thermostat housing and jumper the connector. If the fan comes on replace the temp switch. Do the diagnostic in the order I wrote it, because a faulty thermostat will keep the temp switch from working. If you jump straight to checking the switch, of course it's going to come on if you jumper it(unless you have a bad wire or connector) and you might replace the switch and still not solve your problem.
