Re: 90 ACCORD (Machine Kandy)
Sweet. I am not feeling the yellow on the interior, but the rest of the car is really nice.
Collective seems to do some nice work on those H22's.
Here is pic of my H22. I love those motors!
It is an old pic before I installed the NOS Kit.

Re: 90 ACCORD (Machine Kandy)
Thanks. It looks a little different now. Not much though. I polished some of the brackets instead of the blue, got a Nuespeed bar, put in the NOS, and got rid of those ugly white wipers! LOL!

Re: 90 ACCORD (Big James)
Beatiful engine bays you guys. Matter of fact I think it was because of you initially, Big James, that I decided to bother doing an engine swap to begin with. By the way, how much was it to shine and powder coat the valve cover with that translucent thingy...
I might make a drive down to GA if it is totallly worth it.

The valve cover ran right around $150. It was about $50 to polish it to a chrome like finish, and then $100 to translucent powder coat it. You should not have to drive down to GA to do it. Look for a metal polisher near you to have them polish it. Then take it to someone who does powdercoating. They will be able to get the translucent colors. They might make you buy a bunch of the color from them, so you might want to look at getting some brackets done too. I was lucky in that my friend had ordered a bunch of red for his turbo, valve cover, NOS bottles, brackets, intake manifold, and fuel rail. So when the guy ordered the red, he bought some blue just to see what it would look like.

Re: 90 ACCORD (Big James)
Hey cool thanks, and here is what my engine bay looked like since August.
And how much and what brand of Carbon Fiber Hoods do you guys have? Might not do this mod until everything else is done with the car, but its always good to get some research in from now.

Nice.. Some of the red would look good under there!
Here is my buddys car with the red. It is an Avenger.
The hood I got from Nopi. Honestly, I do not know what was paid for it. I can't remember. I had a buddy retrun some stuff for me, and the pay the difference. He picked it up while I was at work. I will try to find the reciept.

Re: 90 ACCORD (Big James)
That is sweet. And yes that is exactly what I plan on doing getting more red under there sooner or later. But again just gathering up different ideas of things to do. That bay is real nice though. *sigh* Hopefully in a year or two my project will be complete.

Re: 90 ACCORD (Wont be beat)
Still trying to decide on whether or not I will be going turbo or just N/A all the way, with a slight hint of NO2. That is the only reason why I dont have headers now. Plus I heard that they arent really that much different from the Type S ones.

I think the hood was 350 or 400. I went in on it with 2point6. I need to clean out my bay and do the valve cover soon. I think I will just polish it what do you guys think?

Re: 90 ACCORD (Machine Kandy)
Cool thanks, what brand though, that is what I am mostly interested in. How did it fit and would you recommend the same company? And also if you think you are fully satisfied with the rest of your car then you should go ahead with the vavle cover, however, if not then the money you would spend to get it done could probably be put to better use in mods.

Re: 90 ACCORD (ForcedAccord)
Hey thanks man, and dont worry that picture does it no justice. The swap was done really well and I get compliments all the time about its proffesionalism. Of course there are always bugs to be worked out but I dont have any of the reoccuring problems that most people with hybrids have.
I will try to take some more updated pictures this weekend and post them.
Stay tuned. Here is an old exterior shot.

Re: 90 ACCORD (4doorH22)
Because all JDM Type S come with a red valve cover. And mine came out an actual car that was totaled in the rear. Not from some unknown source. Other than that you really cant tell the difference I dont think externally, however internals include slight port & polish from the factory, different pistons, headers, cams, and other internals...

Re: 90 ACCORD (Machine Kandy)
damn....your car looks good! I lika
those enkei rims are the ones I truly wanted for my civic, but I worried about how dirty they would get around those bolts and if it would be a bitch to clean......but then I was offered a set of 16's for $100. Enkei who.....what??

Re: 90 ACCORD (CivicGirl114)
They don't really get that dirty. Thanks for the comp. As for the hood, I'm not sure what brand it is. I will find out, it fit really well but one bolts broke on it when I first put it on. Still fits well though. 2point6 just put a prelude tranny on the car I had my accord tranny on it before. I have a busted speed sensor as well so that needs to be done. 2point6 has so many projects right now so I not trying to bug him about it. I have had my swap for a little over 2 years now and have been very happy with the results so far. Wondering what to do next....... I'll have to think about that.
Very impressed with all the accords here. I not one that can build the cars but I know the nice ones when I see then. (Props to you all) CivicGirl114 do you have pics. of the car on the board?
