Default 2004 Accord Oil Changes

I just bought a 2004 EX sedan 5sp manual last week. What a great ride

The owners manual suggests 10k and 5k oil changes. I drive mostly highway and live in the Northeast so temperatires vary. What is the consensus with current owners on oil changes. The car also is scheduled to run 5w20? No 30 weight.

yes these high revving cars take 5 w20,,I have always changed my oil at 3000 miles regardless of make of vehicle..3000 is probably not necessary 5000 would probably be ok.

Follow Honda's requirement-- I'm sure they have a good reason for the 10k estimate.

the 5w-20 is just for emissions.....thats awfully thin.......if it ever gets real hot (florida, texas etc.) i would run something a little thicker

nothing to do with high rev.

stick with honda's requirement.

3000 miles oil change each and everything.

the mileage suggestion in your manual is for normal driving condition.
stop and go traffic, red line are not normal driving condition.
