Model: 1996 Honda Accord EX 4Dr Sedan

I keep getting water leaking onto the floor mats (mostly on the passenger side) when the A/C is running or has been running. Specifically the water sometimes pours out in a steady stream when taking a hard turn. Scares the heck out of my passengers when freezing cold water pours on their feet, haha.

Its definitely water, not coolant. I read this might be a problem with the drain tube and it might be clogged?? Is this correct and if so, where/how can I access the drain tube? Is it under the car or can I access it from the hood or inside the car on the floor?? If not the drain tube, what other problems could it be?

Boingo,it's most likely the drain tube, should be a small black rubber tube accessible from underneath the car. Just scoop/shoot/etc the crap outta it

Thats what I thought - is it necessarily a black tube though?

I had the car on a lift yesterday and saw a CLEAR tube with a black tip sticking down under the passenger side, could this be it?

It didn't look clogged so I am wondering if it is something else...

The tube might not be attached to the A/C evaporator.

It should most likely be a black tube... maybe been changed in the past but not very likely at all. Just unplug the tube and blow in it. I know it sounds gross but it does fix problems sometimes..
I had a clogged fuel line and blew into it, unclogged the bitch no prob!!

the clear tube is the evap canister tube. the drain tube will be a tad higher.

Ok, thanks for the clarification and help everyone! I will give it a shot next time I have the car on the lift.

You don't need to put your car on a lift. You can access the drain tube from the passenger side footwell on the firewall. That is the best way to get too it as that is where it connects to the air box.

If you look under the glove box you should see it on the bottom of the big black box, there will be a rubber line going from it out through the firewall. That is the tube that you are looking for. Disconnect it from the air box and pull it out of the firewall opening. Clean it out and reassemble. Make sure it is on the air box good and tight and there are no kinks in the line.
