1992 honda accord lx
My Honda accord starts when cold the rpm goes above 1000 and it drops and dies .... When I try to start it again it swings but don't start..... When it starts on cold I try to drive it immediately as I release the clutch it does not take the gas.... I play with it until it revs then I can only drive with speed because when I stop the gas stops again or it just dies
It was a automatic but the person I bought it from changed it to standard
NEED HELP URGENT

Re: 1992 honda accord lx
google or youtube it. every year is different but ALL hondas have them. its a small/large box under the steering column. the solder joints go bad and causes starting/running problems. it is also known as a fuel pump relay etc. etc.(has many functions) auto stores have them locally cheaper online.

Re: 1992 honda accord lx
Really? READ what the OP posted in their first post...the car will start and run, yes they have to play with the gas to keep it running.....then if they come to a stop the car will die out.
OP- listen and answer the question from "holmes" - the ~$50 you would have wasted on the main relay - tune up items if due will cost less than this.
All I have to add to what holmes posted is that a good cleaning of the TB can't hurt anything. One more thing to think about would be a cleaning/adjustment of the IACV and FITV.
