ok there are 3 things to check first.. the wire is not exposed trust me.. its like someones car not starting and a person suggesting you check your spark plugs.. like thats never the case lol..

3 things to check..

the ground wire off the cig lighter the big black one make sure its still holding on and its a good solid ground.

the power wire going to the lighter.. use an electrical tester to see if its getting power

and the temp sensor just make sure its installed and there

also check the fuse make sure its not blown for whatever reason.. replace with a new one.

Hope this works.

If none of this fixes the problem.. go to the junk yard and pull a lighter from a car stick it in your pocket and problem solved.

yah you just need a cicuit tester i know they sell them there for sure..

its just the little tool that you touch to the wire and a light bulb lights up if it has power. should be under $10
