'00 Accord / P1399 / what else to try?
Car has a P1399 misfire code.
What's been done:
new plugs and wires
new injectors
new relay
I've noticed that the plugs are flooded with gas and now I carry a spare set. After a long drive (30+ miles) and the car sits for several hours, it won't start. I change out all the plugs for the dry spare set and the car starts up. Not perfect but it does start.
I'm wondering if the ecm needs to be replaced?

The next time it doesn't start you need to immediately check for spark. What could be happening is that you keep flooding the engine because it's actually just a spark issue and that's causing the car to flood. If you're getting spark then pull each spark plug and smell it for gas. If you smell gas then atleast you know it's getting gas.
You might want to check for exhaust leaks while you're at it. You can do it using seafoam if you know how to use that while having someone look for white smoke billowing out of the exhaust manifold/pipe. If not, have a shop do it.

Gilbert,
I had a P1399 and it was solved by pulling the injectors and soaking them overnight in a good quality fuel injector cleaner. I don't know if this fix will last, nor am I saying it is your issue but I suggest you read my post on Honda Accord Forum. I am certain that my problem was a clogged injector:

I just went for a good long test drive and my car is running perfectly.
Good luck with it!!

I have gone through the same, and everyone with this problem, just test your voltage regulator. Guarantee that it is not working properly. It is your alternator at the begining stages of going bad. You can take it to Autozone and they will do it for free. Let me know how it goes

code 1399 in conjunction with other random codes can be caused by the voltage regulator. Your battery will still charge, but since the voltage is nt steady it will cause misfire codes and other codes as well.

We finally got it figured out. It was a clogged EGR valve. Cleaned it all out and the car is working great. Hoping to get another 100K miles out it since I've replaced damn near everything else!
