Yes, it was the neighbor island that I've been to the most.
I recall when there was only KTA. And they just.....started to have red lights at the intersection. Last time I was there was like 10 years ago. Had Best Buy, Walmart, and don't recall. Actually I don't mind cause once you go out of that area, still country...

Random Thoughts.
Frank Fasi - the best mayor Honolulu ever got.
On my way to school as a kid, he would always flash us the shaka. And we were not even voters. But as a Maverick, he knows that one day....we would become a Fasi supporter.
