xmas came early, car is finally done.
WELL HERE ARE A FEW TEASER SHOTS, jordan and i installed the kit under a tent made of tarps in the freaking rain all day. kit came out serverly clean, and this turbo is a whale, i dont even start to see any boost until around 4k. but when it hits, its ******* rediculous. car is a dog out of boost due to the super low 7.9:1 compression, but when it sees boost it peps right the expletive up. its pretty obvious this thing will have zero low end and hardly any midrange powerband. can you say vicious lopsided topend?? i can :S
setup is as follows,
7.9:1 comp .10 over b16a devconed block, srp pistons eagle rods, stock head.
.63ar gt35r
cc-fab custom "party girl" manifold
precision 780s
xoxo racing dual trumpeter bov, sounds knarly, seriously.
2.5 inch charge pipes,
AsIaN PeRsUaTiOn 29x9x3 bar and rice intercooler
3 inch stainless dp with flex
3 inch half exhaust, ( pipe with resonator cut off behind seats) turbohf style
plx m300
turbosmart 2 stg boost controller
tuned by chris ( xenocron) on crome pro.
planning to eat 20 plus psi. she kicks
on with a few pics.

Any reason why your running very low compression on the motor?

Im stoked to to see CT with some fast cars.I had Chris tune my Ls/Vtec JRSC EF, it could have been faster with a dyno but he is great to work with and knows what hes doing.Tell him Derek says hi.
U gonna run this thing up in hartfod?
Ill be running a very siminlar setup but with a lil more displacement. We'll see how much torque makes a difference on the street thisa coming summer.
Good job man.

K thanks for the knowledge, but still the un-answerd question is why did you choose to run such a low comp? nice looking setup and props for tarpin threw the rain

Re: (s13-t)
i am going to disagrre with that statement. yea more boost is tolerable, but low compression does affect spool up. diesels run 19-22:1 and spool off idle.

Re: (meanEG)
think about the displacement of diesel truck though, and diesels are completely different than our engines in terms of combustion so that statement is irrelevant

It allows more boost on bad tune and still makes less power and a slower spool. With the ability to tune Hondas alot better than in 95, there is no need at all to run compression that low.

compression DOES NOT affect spool
Jdogg did LOTS of proving on that fact with our friend phil's car..over and over
and low compression gives you tolerance when it coms to getting bad gas or hot weather or anything...i'd rather hvae the same power and be safer than up the compression for no reason at all and lose that leway
