Default Garrett A/R .42/.48 turbo

How much power can this turbo put out? Stock LS bottom end/head, RC 440 injectors. It's a A/R .42 , .48 . when will this turbo spool up?

sounds like kinda a littler turbo, should spool up fast, not sure how much power it can handle though.

Post pics. Sounds like its a Garrett straight t3 60 trim (aka the "Super 60"). Reaches maximum pressure REALLY fast and early. Its capable of 320 whp, but thats pushing it WAY past its efficiency range.

Your 440 cc injectors will limit you to 300 whp, but I would not advise to push that turbo that far. Others will chime in, but thats just my opinion.

I'm looking to make around 250-275hp , will this turbo be reliable around that power? How much boost will it take to achieve this power goal?

You should be fine. And how much boost will depend on how effective your setup is. In any case, your tuner will use whatever psi your setup will give him to make that power goal.

Good luck, should make a really fun and responsive street ripper! ;-)

If you could post a picture of the turbo it would help. There are a couple different sized .42/.48's but you should be able to hit you're goal with either of them. It may just take more boost if its smaller.

SpeedFactory is the only shop that i can recommend. It's honestly one of the only true "one-stop" shops around, where they can take care of pretty much everything in house and not to mention their top notch work. I would contact James at SpeedFactory about your set-up, he will be able to help you out. Check out their website, speedfactoryracing.net.

(Btw i'm not an employee of SpeedFactory, just a satisfied customer for over 2+ years.)

Depending on how much boost you end up running will determine what is necessary. It might be a good idea to just upgrade to a 3 bar map sensor to start.

The stock map sensor can read up to ~11psi anything after that and you will need to run an upgraded map sensor. Do not run a check valve set-up.

You could sell it to me! Been looking for a 42/48 for quite some time.
