Default Eagle Rods - 5/16 vs. 3/8 bolts

I have a set of Eagle rods with the 5/16 inch rod bolts. I understand that the new version uses 3/8 inch for increased durability. Is there that big of a difference where you people think that I should switch to 3/8 inch rod bolts. I am only aiming for < 400whp.

When I ordered my Rods they came with the Bigger Bolts. I called Eagle and they told me that they are phasing out all the rods with the smaller bolts starting with the SOHC then moving to DOHC. One thing the the smaller bolts take around 38ft/lbs to torque down, the bigger take 43ft/lbs. I'd call eagle they probably will switch them out for you

Do you know for sure that they will switch them out?

No, they require 28ft/lb. But I wouldn't go by torque anyways.

RPM is what kills rod bolts not really hp...

I wouldn't hesistate to run those for 400whp and a 8.5k redline. Chris, I had to sell them to save up for a welder. I have different plans. So don't trip.

I wasn't worried about tripping DefiantGSR. You told me what I was getting to the T. Just a general question. Thanks all.
