Burning Oil
I'm posting this for a friend. Basically his car is smoking lots of purple smoke. The spark plugs are dry. What could it be? He just replaced the oem headgasket with a 2mm one and it still smokes.
A bad turbo, bad piston oil rings, or bad valve seals? There is also oil in the intercooler piping. So I'm guessing the turbo seals are bad?
At idle it doesn't smoke but once you give it a little bit of gas, it smokes. When the car is cruising at say, 30-40 mph, it doesn't smoke.
