Your boost level should be close to a GSRs (same displacement). Stock crank, stepper, and 3.8 pulley is around 9.5psi. Camshaft type and timing, intake, and exhaust setups will play with it.

ie: with stock cam timing on a stock ITR you are likely to get a little less due to excess valve overlap.

I recommend listening to Jadkar's suggestions on max boost levels.

what's strange is that my B16 w/CTR cams on stock cam timing, stock crank, 4.2 nose and no stepper runs 7psi all day

figure that one out

??

Not so strange. A b16a should run ~7psi with standard pulleys.

Camshafts will make a little difference on boost detected like exhaust, intake, and head design (porting, etc) but we generally aren't talking huge differences. Boost is basically just a measurement of air restriction.

Just a question about pulleys and boost.. im going to be running a crv crank, the 4.0 blower pulley and the mvm stepper im looking for around 12 psi?? would i be correct in this assumption. ??? currently runing 8.9psi exactly with the 4.0 nose and the crv crank, on an ls vtec

I had a few questions i just got my whole B18c-R JRSC all done, My question is the pulley on the blower seems to shake back and forth when the car is running at idle when you give it gas it looks as if it goes away, also the pulley has a few chips on the outside so i was thinking maybe thats what making it look like its shaking. Thats my first question.

Second i have the stock ITR crank pulley on the car a 4.2 blower pulley and the MVM stepper pulley and the car only made 7psi of boost on the hondata dose this not seem a bit low? On the dyno the car made 217whp and 156Tq dose this also not seem low for 7psi on a ITR? My meth injection kit also did not gain me any power even with the timing set to 24 degrees Snow performance said this is because the blower is not boosting enough were the heat is becoming a problem, also referred it to a car running on race gas that dose not need it.

Any input would be great i wana drive this thing but this whole blower pulley shake scares me.

2nd q, answer.
seems about right to me.
I have about the same set up and made the same power (minus 5-10 or so Tq) @ the same PSI. What I noticed during my runs is that heat DOES affect the power made, and my tuner also mentioned it to me. Thats why LHT is a +.... The only thing I dont have is the meth inject. I would imagine it should cool down the IATs and produce a little more (which it did, on the tq side?).

someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Sounds about right to me.

It'll be on the hight side without any intercooling.

Well it made the same horsepower on and off the meth no gains at all with the meth idk why.

Is the pulley tight? Does it look like its shaking from the nose shaft or the pulley itself?

I had the same problem when I first started mine, but at the stepper...kept jumping belts too.

1. My belt alignment was off.
2. My alt stepper pulley wasnt tightened enough before installing (took me ~2hrs to take that sob out to tighten it).

I have a question for everyone about the map sensor. I know that for the map to see boost, you have to nipple it to the manifold. Im planning on getting a 3bar, so is there any reason to purchase the hondata map bypass?

i have a built gsr with a jr on the stock pulley system and when i went to get tuned the guy that tuned it said it made power till 9500 rmps i seen the dyno graph and it does. my question is, is it safe to rev the charger that high ? i know the motor can handle it but not sure bout the charger.

I dont think the few hp is worth the strain on the motor. Built or not 10k is one hell of a rev.

Sorry for the repeat posting,lol.

I plan on running a stock jrsc kit with a ls pulley on my gsr at 7.5 psi.Which is where I feel safe. I have plan on using 510cc injectors and crome to tune. Do you guys think I need a aftermarket fuel regulator or will a stocker be fine. I have both but Ill have to do some work to make aem one fit.

Very clean buddy!! Do you have a shot stading in front of the engine? And is that the new LHT design or is it someone else's?

God I envy you guys withthe Tegs and all that room up near the firewall!
