Merman Motorsports RWD 10.5 Outlaw Civic
Merman Motorsports would like to show you what we have been up to. Last year was huge for us in our pursuit to meet goals we had set from day one. That goal was to become a 7 sec fwd honda. Knowing once that goal was met, we were going to start our new project of building a 3/4 chassis rwd honda. And we are proud to say that time has come. Our new goals are set to become the fastest 4cyl rwd Honda in the world! I will share photos of our build for those of you who enjoy these cars as much as we do. Here are some of the first photos of our new car at DL Race Point Chassis shop. More photos and updates to come soon. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

[QUOTE=hello1320;47430452]I know I am probably speaking for someone else, but if it is going to be an Outlaw 10.5" car, then it should be legal to run 200+mph. I mean, in ADRL the outlaw 10.5" cars there run 3.80's at 210mph or so in the 1/8th. Brent Rau's car was a 3/4 chassis car, I think, and it went lower 4's in the 1/8th.

I love it! Us older guys can't really relate to FWD, I'd rather see one of those bad little motors turned loose in a chassis that can take full advantage of it. Hope to see many updates.

Well you got adrl 10.5 extreme and regular 10.5 like what runs at shakedown. We are building 3/4 chassis car and can compete everywhere. WCF, OGS, Shakedown, etc... We plan to go to domestic events primarily and whatever big import events. I believe the 10.5 record Is 4.17 . Some imports are in the .20's. Car will be setup for 1/8 and 1/4 mile.

The ADRL Extreme guys, Titan's Scion, Billy Glidden, Chuck Ulsch, etc... No weight requirements, super light chassis with some titanium thrown into the mix on some of them. I know some guys that have attempted to run with the ADRL cars, but their car was just too heavy to really compete with them, not to mention they did not have the budget. I do not think they even qualified for the particular race and their car was in the .10's
What are the weight requirements for majority of the Outlaw 10.5" classes?

ADRL cars are no joke...
Good luck with the build, I'm sure you'll reach your goal.... As long asyou stayed after 7's with the hotrod, it's just a matter of time and $$
Are you selling the hotrod, or?

Jerseyfan= B-Series
Tepid1= Yes sheetmetal housing with strange center section.
E-Town 4229= Yes finally slicks are the RIGHT way! Trying like hell for this year but it not in my hands.
13173 = there is no minimum weight for 4cyl entries at domestic 10.5 races.
jnv255= Nope Hotrod car is complete ready to race. Interested in seeing someone race it with us. Or I will hang it on the wall in my new shop.
Hello1320= As stated in first post. the car is at DL Race Point in NY being built. I enjoyed building the Hotord car but don't have time nor expierence to build a car of this caliber.
