idk why people are so uneasy about eagles, i have never heard of one failing from too much hp. i have also seen plenty of builds in the 700-900 hp range with eagles. are there better rods out there? yes 100% carillo... manley turbo tuffs.

I've lost a engine using eagle but it weren't the rods that failed @640whp, it was the ARP2000 bolts. But can't blame the bolts entirely, I torqued the bolts 4 times 1st torque to check clearances, 2nd torque final torque, ended up chewing up bearings due to FO in oil, 3rd torque to check new bearings, 4th torque final torque, Tuned to 640whp, when to a race weekend ran a decent time on street tires, drove home raced on the Autobahn whooped some asses at some high speeds, final race engine lost power and stalled, pulled over checked the engine, no leaks no damage, tried to restart the car, threw a rod through the block. bolt snapped cleaned across the cap. I upgraded to Manley turbo tuff, then later Pauter to 662whp on same turbo, I just tore apart my engine to cut o-rings and rebuild for over 900hp, so because of past experience of reusing bolts I upgraded to ARP625 bolts, to be safe I will use the old bolt for checking bearing clearances, and use the new ones for the final torque.

I have 2 favorite rods.
Manley turbo tuff I beam with ARP 635
Pauter X beam with ARP 625

you can save money with eagle and ARP 625

But most people prefer CP Carrillo.

my faforite piston is ARIAS

my build guidence buddy said yes gsr trans with 24,5 revs to about 9300 to do 155mph, b16 revs to about 10200. to do same mph. he advised i have rev limit set to 10k on the eagles and make sure to not hit it or a rods will most likly break.

King was referring to my car and yes that was on my Victor X, which is for sale. I just picked up the 8 injector Edelbrock manifold. They are good dang manifolds.

Yes, I am running a GSR head and the manifold is for a GSR head. I only replaced this for the 8 injector manifold in the picture.

I run Eagle's with upgraded L19 bolts (around before the CA625+ came out), car is at ~650whp revving to 9200rpm.

I also have a set of Pauters with one refurbed rod but the engine is happy so I'm hesitant to strip and replace the Eagles.

I'll be more worried about 4th gear, several people have gone mid 9's on stock transmissions. Although they don't last long.
