I'm aware of that, but if you use a resistor plug then why is it still having problems? Seems like the electronics have not been designed well if it has issues. A ferrite bead is a band-aid and distorts the signal.

The ferrite bead was installed during the testing phase of the CPR. The first batch had less than adequate filters. Part of the reason Hondata opted to delay the release.

The newer batch like the one they are selling have improved filtering. I guess the ferrite bead was left as part of the new kit.

We have billet coil plate that allows for the k-series/f-series (s2000) coils to bolt onto the b-series valve cover. Makes a super clean installation!

the part number for the Hondata recommended ones comes up under the Honda Pilot; but i'm not sure how far across the board that represents (as far as in other Honda chassis).

I'm unsure if the PVF-A01 coils are for the Pilot (to lazy to search), but if so the difference between the both are the actual body length. The K series coils are longer then the Pilot coils. I had originally sourced Pilot ones then I purchased the adapter plate and used K series coils. Something about keeping coils retained by a piece of foam and the spark plug cover I did'nt like.. lol

I would reccomend purchasing K series coils, adapter plate and the billet dizzy cap .

I've been busy with other things but I should have everything completed this week sometime and I will post a couple pictures of my setup.

I promised image(s) but this is the only one I have right now because I just got a new phone and already took parts off in the engine bay for powder coat.

I will post more images, details once I get it all back together.

Thanks to Joe @ LoCash Racing for his technical support when needed!

How do the j35 fit? I used type-s coil packs and they are ok but I had to use oem plug cover to hold them down with some rags

Bringing this old thread back from the dead for a minute. Hoping someone can shed some light on something for me.

I just received my CPR kit from Brandon at Blue Ridge Motorsports (great guy to deal with BTW!). I happen to have some odyssey coils laying in my toolbox that I may as well put to use If possible...

Can anyone tell me if they are running J series Odyssey coils with the CPR kit currently?

Also is there any difference other than dimensions of the different OEM Honda coils that I should be aware of? There isn't anything internally/electronically to the different coil packs that I need to worry about using odyssey coils vs k series coils is there?

Just making sure the only difference here is coil retention method and I am not going to fry anything electronically if I plug in a different coil than recommended k coils.

Sorry for the wasted post above but I just called Hondata and they advised any OEM Honda coil will work without issues the only differences are dimensions of the coils and how they fit you valve cover for your application.

I figured I would post what I found so that if anyone else had the same questions they would know!
