Viper or Clifford alarm recommendation?

Viper or Clifford alarm recommendation?
I've read a bunch on here and other reviews but seems like most of these alarms have expensive remotes that break easily with minimal use and/or go through batteries very fast.
I'm just looking for a reliable 2-way. No remote start. Any recommendations among Viper or Clifford.

I have a Viper 5704v w/remote start and glass break sensor. I'm happy with it. The remote charges via mini-usb like wall charger...i'd say I have to charge it ever 3-4 weeks maybe.
I think Viper/Clifford are owned by DEI. Can't go wrong with either product.

Viper/Clifford/Python are all DEI brands, and for the most part, the same product.
The keypads are fine. If you want true 2 way communication, purchase the Smart Start interface and it will notify your phone when the alarm is triggered.
As for the advertised "2 way" communication range, I cannot confirm the distance. I do know that my 5701 and 5704 did not work when I was inside my local mall, less than .3 miles from my car.
....and yes, the antennae was mounted properly.

Battery recommendation --
If your remotes are the DEI 2-ways which use AAA batteries, the Energizer Ultimate Lithiums probably last about 5-6 months in these units compared to a regular alkaline AAA which last about 1.5-2 mos.
The newer/higher-end stuff uses USB but I'm not sold on non-replaceable batteries given how often DEI cycles their remotes out of their product lineup -- The replacement cost for my ~2-year old alarm remote is now above the price I paid for the entire alarm system when new. Food for thought.

Python, Viper, Clifford are all Dei alarms. If you are wanting a good 2 way without using the "smart start" system then make sure you get one of their alarms with the "SST" remotes. As VegaS10 said depending on building/surroundings you can get 1/4-1/2 mile of good range, if you're out in the open I've gotten pretty damn close to 1 mile with mine. This is the one I just got for my Accord. Have zero issues with it.

I also have 2 5704's for my other 2 cars. Overall the same alarms as the 3303v just with remote start.
