Default Connecting Amp

Sorry guys this isnt a honda, its on my mx-6. I posted it on the mx-6 website but its incredibly slow and I need help now.

Im trying to get the amp to work. Power wire is in the power slot and the ground is in and grounded. The blue wire is hooked into the amp but where does it hook to on the head unit harness? There is a big yellow wire from the head unit with a sleeve that says AMP REM .03A (or something like that) and a blue wire that says ANT REM .01A. Which one of the two do I hook it to? I was guessing it would be the one that says AMP but its already connected to a yellow wire on the installation connector (its a 12V constant). The blue wire didnt seem to do anything. What am I doing wrong?

If your talkin about the rem. wire that you run from the head unit to the amp then it would be the amp rem.. try that and you should be good to go

Are you sure the remote wire is a "big yellow" wire??

The "big yellow" wire is your constant 12v wire. If you connected the remote wire from the amp to the "AMP REM" and it did nothing, did you test that wire with a meter or test light?

I know you said you grounded your amp, but how/where is it grounded?

Yes, the yellow wire that says AMP REM is slightly bigger than the others. It is plugged in to another yellow wire on the connection harness (12v constant). The ANT REM is not connected to anything, and I connected it to the amp wire and it did nothing.

expletive it, i'll go take pictures and show you

What kind of deck? I've never seen a yellow remote wire....

Since you say that you connected the remote wire from the amp to 3 different wires, and the amp still didn't turn on, I'd say that there's something else going on...

You didn't answer the question about how/where you grounded the amp.

If the yellow wire has a tag that says its a remote anything, someone is funnin with you. 94

Heres some pics:

This is the yellow AMP REM from the HU connected to a 12v constant from te connection harness:

This is the blue ANT REM from the HU currently connected to the amp:

Extra solid blue wire from the connection harness:

Extra blue/white wire from the the HU:

Sorry the pics are so bad, I forgot all I had on me was a camera phone.

I have only tried the amp with the blue ANT REM wire.

I had it grounded on a metal piece of the body by hand since I was testing the amp before I ran wire all the way through.

The deck is a JVC, model number KD-G310. I know it has to be somewhat new since it has on the front a sirius radio emblem.

Car is a 94 mazda mx-6

Try the blue/white. On most pionner/alpine/pana harness's that's the remote turn-on wire. Get a volt meter and see if it's an ignition power.
