You need to take off the armrest/console assembly(2 screws on the sides). Then you take off the front console by the gear shift...4 screws, 2 under the ebrake handle, 2 on the side by where your knee is sitting in the car. You need to remove the shift **** to get this piece off. After you have removed the 4 screws, yank the console assembly out...it may take a little force.
After that, you will be able to stick your head under the radio. The radio has 2 screws pointing upwards securing the unit to the dash. Remove the 2 screws and slide the radio out. The harnesses are compatible from my understanding so it should be "plug and play"

I believe you'll need to use a couple of different harness adapters, since the pulg design was changed in 1998 I believe. If so, you'll need to connect a 70-1720 female harness into a 71-1721 male harness. The 1720 was for pre-98 Hondas while the 1721 was later models. Both are Metra part numbers.

The new integras have the same harness as the older models.
It is easy to take off the two screws in the rear of the deck but I dont see how you will put them back in there that way.

I always end up taking it apart the long way myself. As for the harnesses, maybe I'm getting it confused with the Civic, but I know for the fact that the 2000 Metra lists two different Honda harnesses a 1720 and 1721. I was figuring Civic, Integra..same thing.

i just stuck a new head unit in my 94 teg and i took out the center console and even both seats. there are only four bolts holding the seats in (plus a clip under the driver's seat for the seat belt light) and you have so much room to work, it is completely worth it in my opinion. if you are rushed and/or cramped, your just going to do a bad job and want to do it all over again.
