The LiL Bitty Build.

The LiL Bitty Build.
Last month my wife bought a 88 CRx that we found on craigslist. I haven't been into building anything since high school (2006) when I had a eg 4 door with a ls swap.
Now I'm married have a house, and we decided to start building a crx.
The body has very little rust especially for being in Minnesota. I fix cars professionally but I have never done body work. We bought this car pretty much to learn how to do body work, and get a car ready for paint. So today we pulled the engine.
Its a B18c1 with what I'm pretty sure is a GSR trans. We plan on rebuilding this whole car so hopefully posting our updates on here will help us stay motivated. We should have updates every week.

Well not a huge update today. We got the pressure washer fixed this week so we could get the car cleaned off. The car looked like it was sitting for at least 3 years in the guys back yard that we bought it from.
As we cleaned the car off I noticed a dent that I didn't see before, and I finally admitted to myself that we need new fenders.
I also noticed that the right front had some major repair done in the past. It looked like it might need to be ground down and may need some metal work.
It should look like this
The rust on this car doesn't look too bad considering we live in Minnesota so I'm hoping we can fix it ourselves we really want to learn a lot from this car.
So today we cleaned the whole car, removed the front and rear bumpers and both fenders. We only had to drill out one bolt. I don't know why Honda decided to use such giant screws on the bumpers.
Now we just need to find a good parts car and start ordering parts. Next weekend I have to work but I'm hoping we can find time to remove the interior and start sanding the car.
