Interesting, trying to think of what I could use it for. Good to know such things exist!

Got some time to finish modeling up the gauge pod to those who were interesting in one for hatch/wagon/crx - it's still coming. Just sent this one off to be printed to test fitment:

And here's a photoshop of what it should look like installed:

I'm doing RHD first so i can check everything fits as it should, then i'll be making LHD ones.

Got some goodies today, fresh off the 3D printer. First is the gauge pod i've been working on:

Printed in gypsum powder, i'll be sanding it back so it has a smooth finish when it's molded. The other print is an adapter bracket for my 88-89 over speed chime to my 90-91 cluster:

It's made from sintered nylon so it's virtually unbreakable. Here it's got the overspeed chime installed on it, and the programmable timer relay which will run it now:

And installed on the cluster:

Still need to program the relay, but the wiring is all ready to be connected.. I've been working on converting my dash harness to 90-91 recently so that my hazard light switch and demister all work now.

Gauge pod seems to be coming along quite nicely. Are you going to paint it same colour as dash to try blend it in, or just more of a flat black..

That bracket for the chime looks awesome, and neatly attached to the back of cluster! Ahhhh clusters, always good fun repining and what not.. Going to start work on my SiR one tomorrow wiring it in. Why did you not go with the SiR one instead of this one? I need to do the hazard and demister thing as well, my hazard is on steering column, so ugly.

The resin that i use to mold the production parts are a satin black. This print is just a buck that i'll make a mold from. The production parts can be painted any colour, but i'll just be selling them black and the customers can paint them whatever colour to match their dash's.

The only reason i didn't go with an SIR cluster was because the tacho reads too high. The aussie delivered CRX tacho's redline is correct for my setup.

The switch swap is so much more involved than i thought it would be. It's not just a matter of repinning a couple of plugs and re-routing some wiring.. The whole schematic different. :/

When you give it a shot, hit me me up, i've got a few wiring diagrams that were super handy.

Interesting.. wonder if RPM eill read different for me. Well i spoke to someone who already did in his CRX and he just sent me this 1 diagram and said you just cut your old plugs and then re wire to the SiR plugs. Few things need to added like VSS and the door sensors but only minimal things..

The reading should be correct, I just mean that redline is indicated at like 8200rpm or something like that on an SIR cluster, where my cutout is at 7500...

That would **** me haha.

Yeah true fair enough. Well I have redline set at 8300 so on the ED one I can't see the whole rev range which sucks

Neat. The plan at the moment is for me to drive down with Mark (guy who makes the EF'ED clutch conversion kits). He finished his ED recently and it's miiint.

Nothing too much happening, but got around to casting a few of the gauge pods:

They're ok, i still need to design a spring clip to keep it secured to the dash, but you can see they're coming along.

Wow, that 3D printed piece turned out great. I tried printing some console pieces for my Prelude, and they ended up looking like crap. You have got to share your secret. haha.
