im gonna be taking my valve springs and valves out this weekend and testing out this tool.

I have this one... works mint and no need to remove the rocker shafts. It's defintely not for shop work since it required you to move the tool everytime you move to a different cylinder. Good point is that you DON'T need one hand to compress the spring while the other one is installing the keepers... both hands can be used to install the keepers.
