Super Quiet 3in exhaust on CRX

Built this Full 3in exhaust for my CRX. It is super quiet, does not drone at all. Does not sound like most fart can sounding exhaust systems. The car almost sounds stock until you get on the gas hard. Most of what you hear is intake noise. (yeah I know the damn bird is louder than the car)

You can see details here.
For reference, it is a mild GSR build. 3in stainless exhaust, VtecKidd header, etc. The muffler is a Magnaflow 3in inlet and outlet. Its the biggest muffler they sell.

Although its huge, it really doesn't weight that much. I was kinda surprised. I have a single 3in resonator in line. It is probably 4in max and pretty short. I had it laying around. Thought I might have to replace it with something bigger, but there is no need.

It is louder than stock. But compared to almost all the aftermarket exhaust I have heard to date, this one sounds better than all of those and it is quiet. There is no drone inside, and non of that 'blatty" sound you hear on so many Hondas.

How does the 3 inch exhaust system feel in terms of power? I guess you didn't have a previous setup you can compare against...

Catalytic converter? It would be even quieter if you add one of those if it doesn't have one.
@Tianporn: Pretty well every engine dyno'd upgrading to a 3" exhaust gained power on all parts of the power band.
The gain from 2.5" -> 3" might be 3-5whp across the entire band, but you generally pay for it in decibels

As for power levels. I bought the car with a blown engine and have nothing to compare to. However down low the engine feels light years better than a friends LS swap in an EF. My other car is a turbo D and this CRX has a different personality, so its hard to compare.

Re: Super Quiet 3in exhaust on CRX
Catalytic converters are really simple, they do not reduce power by much (if any) and they seriously tone down the noise and clean up the fumes.
A 300cell metal core cat will probably flow better than a test pipe, clean it up both in sound and fumes.
I've seen dyno comparisons with and without cats, and the difference is like 1-2whp and usually it affects one end of the dyno more than the other. Like you might gain 2whp top end and lose 2whp bottom end of the dyno graph.
They definitely have a big impact on noise reduction.

A cat will do nothing for sounds attenuation. That comes from a Ford Engineer. I have never seen a cat change the tone of a vehicle by any appreciable amount. I am not worried about the HP loss, I realize how well new cats flow. I am not opposed to a cat, I just don't have one and won't be adding one, unless I move to an area that has inspections.
I am happy with the way the car sounds now. Not looking to change anything else. If I wanted it even quieter, I would get a long Magnaflow 6in round muffler and put it in the tunnel in place of the resonator. But I don't think this install warrants that as it doesn't drone, nor is it loud until you get on it hard, (and most of that is intake noise anyways)

Re: Super Quiet 3in exhaust on CRX
I agree, it sounds good, but I'm not sure the "super quiet" title is appropriate either. It's definitely a good sound and clearly audible.

usually with a cat you lose like 1% power up top and gain 1% down low due to the exhaust building pressure a little quicker. They do quiet it down a touch though, not sure why you dont agree.
