i dont understand the meanin of a scatter shield
inform me on the reason y its used

A scatter sheild is a steel plate that goes around the bellhousing of your tranny. If in case your clutch or flywheel explodes, it protects the driver from being hit by the debris. It's mostly used in drag racing....
