i did the samething as you did but i cut the three center walls down to the flat wall in the front
and ported the 4 runner opening. and i also flattened the top front and back and sealed the open passanges with jb weld.
i have a unfinished pic i'll try to post

i would think so but its also good to shorten the runners also but i havent gotten a clean run on the dyno yet. i have been running out of fuel. i should hit the dyno it 2 weeks for a tune

I have seen just about every way to slice and dice the USDM/JDM H22 intake manifold and for a near stock setup haven't seen anything to prove modifying one this way will outperform it's stock configuration...from the factory the intake manifold for the H22 was a well thought out configuration and good for performance...

You're looking at one sliced and diced right there by someone who i've heard knows a couple things about hondas. Notice, its on a nifty tool to measure whether or not it is worth pricking with.

Re: (MAX_CFM)
So how does this compare to the stock manifold on the flowbench: ?

Also, how many CFM are the injector holes good for? If you pull that injector out does it actually flow worse?

WRONG.
Check brads pictures above and you'll see one that flows almost like ITBs.
Using the stock lower half is fine, but the plenum needs some real changes to happen. Honda did a horrible job designing the IM for anyone who wants more power out of the h22, and chopping it up like everyone does NEVER makes good results. Again, custom plenum FTW
