Re: h22 type s real or fake [pictures inside] help
Measure the base circle, measure max lift, subtract, multiply by 1.55.
This will give you approximate peak lift to compare against.

Type-S cams have in/ex VTEC lobes:
1.466" IN
1.445" EX
Type-S cams also do have ~.469" lift at the valve on the VTEC intake profile. I've measured mine.
USDM are
1.451" IN
1.430" EX
I find the above to be true. I have measure H23A Vtec Blue Top cam which is indeed just a JDM H22A cam. I then purchased a Manual F20B Head complete from craigslist because I believed the cams were same as Euro R and Type S, which they are indeed. Measured vtec lobe and the measurement above is what I got. Also went far as determing it through part numbers through Euro Honda EPC. My BT cams were def quite smaller then Euro R/Type S/F20B Manual
The Euro R/Type S and F20B Manual will also have a blue tint to them. Those cams look pretty worn.
You would need matching valve springs and retainers with cams if wanting to use them. Risky and iffy with stock h22 black top valve springs/retainers. Seen a bit of damage from doing this...
I personally done some dyno'ing with the H23V BT motor 3 ribbed D Alternator and No PS gave me about 215 whp and 175 trq. I then did another H23V BT swap in my DC with H Alt 6 rib and PS same mods but did the TypeS/EuroR/F20BMT Cam and valve spring/retainer swap. 208 hp 174 trq. Yes PS robs a little, but not that much.
My theory for the dollar isn't worth just swaping cams to think they will make huge power over stock. Better off with a bigger cam such as Skunk2 Pro1s with matching valve train... all depends on your goals...
