My first dyno. B18C1 - 201 WHP / 133 TQ
This is my first time having the car on a dyno, I'm pretty happy. Obviously from the readout it was a Mustang Dyno, MD-250.
Tuned at Fluid Motorsports by Rich.
Car:
'97 Honda Civic HX w/ 151,000 miles
Engine:
'98 B18C1 with approx 90,000 miles
Skunk2 IM
VTEC KiDD Narrow Header
Blox 2.5" Test pipe
Apex'i WS2 w/ 2.5" piping
Brian Crower Stage 2 N/A Cams
Brian Crower Steel Retainers and Valve Springs
Tuning:
Neptune, LC-1 Wideband
Comments:
Very happy with the results, feels great on the top end, but I wish I had a little bit more power in the 3-5k range, the low cam feels really mild. VTEC transition is a tad rough, you really hear the crossover, but I was there with the tuner when we set the transition to 6000 as that produced the smoothest graph. I have the rev limiter set to 9000 and shift light at 8400. A lot of fun, produced the same numbers on separate pulls, no smoke during WOT all the way to the top, everything feels very clean and strong. The car will be used for daily driving and an occasional autox for fun. And yes I still have AC and power steering .
It's a start.

Verry nice! where did you get that header?? what intake are you using? you should throw a bigger tb (68mm) and a hondata im gasket with a thermal t.b gasket, at least rc 310cc injectors if you dont have em already and a 3'' cai and retune should free up some hp.

That is true. 65mm should be good as well. Its nice to see these numbers out of a car with p/s and a/c and a full 2.5" exhaust make more power than the gsr in another thread with Blox Type B's, no a/c and p/s with an open header. I guess its the tuner in addition to the different cams. Sucks I went with Blox Type B's instead of BC2's. I hope I can break 130wtq. Congrats bro.

Well AC and Pwr Steering have minimal effects on the dyno numbers since AC was off and I wasn't turning...
No P and P yet, not sure yet if I will opt for this. Also no bottom end work at all, perhaps some higher comp pistons in the future? But I'm happy with it right now and am moving on to suspension. If I really need more power I will go to the dark (FI) side .
Also I do have CAI, didn't even mention it. No apparant need for bigger injectors unless I put more power down, I'll approach that wall when/if I get to it

You people forget that these are just dyno numbers. Dyno numbers are great for determining before and after power gains or losses on the same dyno, when tuning or installing aftermarket parts. They DO NOT indicate "absolute power". Until this motor and the other wonder motor people are mentioning run at the track and post up their MPH's, I'll save my congrats (or other) comments until then.

No offense, but if you feel that way dont even post in the thread. Those are good dyno numbers and if you dont like it to bad.Go post in another thread and whine about something else.
Do you plan to whine about everyone who posts there dyno numbers who havent made it to the track yet,Im guessing if you do you dont have many friends,Not veryone can make it to the track right away, but they post there sheets os you can see what kind of power they make with there set-up.

You could do the same thing and make those numbers and then someone will come along and tell you the same thing,If you dont like the numbers then move on to another thread. No need for all the hating in this one.

Anyway I will be going to Packwood tomorrow for the NWR SCCA Solo event, no 1/4 though, but I'd like to go at least once. I'm still getting used to shifting when you go that high, you don't just fall in to second like you do at lower RPMs...
Edit: grammar

I can respect that dyno doesn say it all,but there was no need to be like that over dyno numbers.Just becuase its high doesnt mean it cant happen.I thought the same thing no way it made that much without higher CR or port work,But it does happen and i can only appreciate that you take the time to do all of this lik everyone else so others can build a build similiar and enjoy.

show me a trap speed.
I made 207whp on a itb itr, stock bottem end. and trapped 107mph. on street tires.. show me a mph trap and i'll tell you good power numbers.

Re: My first dyno. B18C1 - 201 WHP / 133 TQ
I have to jump and disagree with the Dyno sheets being a big factor for power since he clearly discussed that his 200+ dyno was intended for DAILY DRIVING and AutoX! Not drag racing. Not everyone enjoys going in a straight line. I think its a shocker of how much power, but then again I see the FI forums and stock GSRs pumping 470whp as this stock Comp, stock Port all motor making 200+. Stop being dicks and haters. This is why I dont like HT for all the ignorance.
P.S GREAT ****ING NUMBERS DUDE!

As for this comment my friends K20 EJ8 made 193whp on Tempus Racing Dyno with 2 1/4 exhaust on street tires and MPH was 109. So im guessing that 14 WHP just didnt mean anything.

I don't, but to be honest once vtec engages it sounds loud as hell just like any other exhaust, minimal raspiness and it sounded good though...
