1998 Acura Legend 3.2 TL = Good cornering and speed?
Here the spec on the 98 Acura Legend 3.2 TL
200-hp @ 5,300RPM
Engine torque 209 lb.-ft. @ 4,500RPM
Curb weight 3,505 lbs
I have test driven 98 3.2 TL, I have driven this and I want to know if
the new TL is much better compare to 98 3.2 TL as in power and cornering?

legend moniker was dropped in 1995.
just called 3.2TL from 96-03.
im sure the new TL handles better and power output is at 270 (MY05 anyways).
only way to get a personal reference is to go drive the new TL.

The 96-98 3.2 TL's are slow as hell imo. Handling blows too. The newer TL's are light years beyond the first gen's.

Yeah, I test drove it and push the cornering at 50mph at wide corner ramp entry, fun but it doen't handle that bad. I will check the new TL

It is pretty quick for a comfy car, but 'fast' is not the word. i drove it, and jokingly called it a "rocket ship" because it feels slow and comfy, then you put your foot down, it growels, and just goes.
Only concern with handling is tire choice. The tires on the one I drove were Michelins; the ones that give low rolling resistence for better MPG. They do, but the handling is awful. I mean the car will corner well, but in a straight line, i find it always crawling over the centerline on the road. So its a good car, but I reccomend some bigger rims, and about a 45 profile tire will do very nice, I suggest Toyo's Proxes4 or T1-S. If you get aftermarket rims, get wider ones, with a larger offset so they stick out a tad more (not noticable). The steering is easy, but its like an audi: dead and no feedback. Feels like the wheels turn right on the center, and you dont want it THAT responsive, its more "slidey" than "precision." I did drive a 02 TL Type-S and the bigger rims and small tires helped a LOT, well worth the extra cash.
So, Get the TL, get better tires and rims (this can improve accelleration, braking and handling.)
