Re: (RSXplaya)
Why didn't they put one of the more powerfull V6's in this car? Like a step down to the CL-Type S. Seems like a big car for NA 4 cylinder. Now your right this engine in a Type S RSX would be much better suited.

I can't recall any JDM Accord bearing a V6 engine. Seems like the U.S. market Accord is blessed exclusively with those engines unless those engines came from another JDM Honda perhaps? Can anyone verify that for me?

People have done the k24 bottom with the type S head, but I do not know if anyone has done the base motor and swapped the complete k24 motor, tranny, and ecu. You can look around and see what you can find out. For more information you might want to check out http://www.clubrsx.com for more information on this. The RSX has a forum for base owners as well. Good luck.

I would think it could be done. Not sure. A k24 bottom end with a type S head is very similar to a TSX motor if I'm not mistaken. Ask Jack/B18CXr he would definitely know..

Re: (00MRSi)
As for the drive by wire throttle:
I don't know exactly but I bet you could rig it up fairly easily. You would likely need the pedal linkage and the harness for it. You would also need a TSX ECU I imagine, or perhaps a standalone like AEM EMS.

The TSX K24 is 200 HP and 170 # of torque. It can easily be developed all the way up to 280 NA very easily.
The car just wasn't designed for a heavy motor.
It's a lightweight, fairly powerful car that goes back to the wonderful double wishbone suspension that we all loved in the ITR and other wonderful Hondas.
It's one of those "You either get it, or you don't" situations, I guess.
If you want a V6, the Accord costs about the same as the TSX.</TD></TR></TABLE>
judging by the dyno, the 200HP rating seems to be pretty much spot-on (makes about the same 170 at the wheels that an RSX-S does).
but the 166ft-lbs of torque on the TSX apparently is WAY underrated.
this particular TSX appears to be making more like 175-180ft-lbs. (153 at the wheels).
