Found source of hatch leak...now how to fix it?
Every time we have heavy rain or I run my ep3 through a car wash, I get water entering near the back right corner and pooling near the spare tire.
I pulled the panels out today and ran the car through the wash, the water is actually coming in through the holes that the tail light bulbs run through.
Replaced the tail light gasket a few weeks ago, no improvement.
what else can i do?

Maybe the tail light is leaking? There is not much to adjust back there. Maybe the tail light is warped and not seating with the gasket.

I was really mad about that with my GSR. So I bought silicone sealer and pretty much made a gasket on the tailights and then bolted them back down. It stopped my leaking

i POR15'd the whole hatch area to protect from rust, and im really dont feel like spending any more effort on it. i may take it to a bodyshop and have them work on getting the light to fit better and seal up the gasket better.

I agree. Some sort of sealer should do the trick. I had to do this on my truck years ago and it worked great.

Im sure some silicone sealer of some kind will work fine, im just not sure how to apply it and where. theres a good amount of water getting in. theres been a few times ive found 1-2in.+ of water in there after a night out in the rain. and no i dont always take my car through an automatic wash, but it was the only way to see where the water was coming in with just myself in the car.
