yes, mine has seen +9K and no, it has not "blown up"......
running just fine
if you do some simple math you'll see that the motor will not hold together very long with the type of piston speeds the K24 has over 7800ish...

Wasen't going to ask that.
For you to know Darton is almost finish with there MID sleeves for the K24.
I have titan. rods being made for my k2.4 . Cause I don't want to get worried everytime I would bring it up there.
Nine 9000RPM + cool
Hopefully you dynoed it when does the power drop off?

B20, LS motors you have to do a vtec conversion.
With k-series you do not have to, cause they are.
Thats what he means.

Re: A few k24 frankenstein Q's... (Soichiro-Honda)
well to let you guys know, im still looking further into the k24 frankenstein.
and if im going to do it, im going all out. i realized id rather keep the 99mm stroke; id rather get all the power and torque i need before 7500 instead of 9000+. also ive found that golden eagle can get me 91mm sleeves . that would make it 2575cc or very 25cc short of a 2.6 liter. i wanna keep it street so about 11.5:1 compression would be perfect with either type-s or type-r cams. 260whp+ would be target with gobs of torque, hopefully over 175 lbs @ the wheels.
anyone with any good info, please let me know and feel free to leave any comments

so what do you think about the K24? probably more potential than the K20A if there was more aftermarket support? as of right now i don't think the K24 has the much aftermarket support... hmm but it does come from the accord so maybe not? i haven't really taken the time to check yet... and how much do you think the K24 with K20A2 heads would cost to swap into a 7th gen civic?

I've already spent 7 grand already and I don't have a running motor.
Rookie sit and wait cause I doubt you can afford it.

Keep your GSR, cause you don't know WTH your doing with a K-series.
''2.6'' haha I can keep a k24 stock bore and still beat you.

buddy, im not an idiot. I think you need to read the rest of the posts first and see that the guy wanted to bore out a K24 to 91mm, giving 2575cc.

2575cc / 1000 = 2.575L => ROUND => 2.6L .... well, will you look at that? 2.6L!
