PCV valve question
I'm nearing 30k miles so I'm checking everything out getting ready to do a big maintenance overhaul. I recently checked my PCV valve as stated in the Helms manual to clamp the hose leading from the valve to the intake manifold. The Helms states if everything is working properly I should hear a clicking noise at idle. I pinch the hose and hear no clicking sound.
I got a new PCV valve part number 17130-PM6-G01 and installed it, still no clicking when pinched. An interesting thing I noticed about my old valve when compared to the new valve was that with the new valve I was able to blow air in both directions without difficulty. With my old PCV valve I could blow air in one way but not the other. Did I purchase a faulty PCV valve or what is going on here?

just soak the old one (carb cleaner) and then clean it.... good as new.
