Default my JRSC R is tuned..BIG thanks to RLZ

First i would like to thank Howard and speed innovations (RLZ) for doing such a great job on tuning my JRSC type R

after about 4 hours on the dyno here's what we got, on 8psi... DYNO JET NUMBERS SHOULD BE AROUND 260whp and 190lbs torque !!!!!!


remember these numbers are on a dyno pack

I am sorry, but that is one horrrible dyno chart for a JRSC ITR. It should be much smoother. Find yourself a new tuner.

good lord!!! 4 hours and that's the best that they could do???? holy **** that's horrible!! GET IT RETUNED IMMEDIATELY!! the way that torque curve is looking, there are some MAJOR tuning issues, and you could possibly be running of the verge of disaster!

Check out the scale on the torque. Now look at the scale on the other graph. If the scale was the same, the torque curves would look almost identical.

Even taking scale into account, I've got to agree with Mythias. The tq curve should be increasing steadily at 3000rpm. The initial poster's tq curve is pretty anemic below 5500. His low-end tq would improve dramatically if he'd lower his vtec engagement point to 3000rpm.

The left column is torque, the right is HP. Compare the two charts, the thread starter's chart has 126tq as a minimum, and 153 as maximum. The second chart posted goes from 0 - 300. The scale will affect the shape of the curve. The graph would look very "smooth" if the scale was corrected.

I agree, despite the scale of the chart. Also, he should be putting down more than 224whp at 8psi on a dynopack. Mine put down 220whp @ 4.5psi on a dynopack.

wow calm down guys... first the car was tuned to a safe 11.7 A/F, the car could make more power but for right now i just want it to be safe... 2nd, the boost was slipping from 8psi down to about 6.8psi (from what i was told) after 7500rpms, due too the lower idler pully being messed up along with the belt...


p.s. i will dyno on a dynojet soon

I love the sound of the JRSC's good luck with it. BTW check the belt as often as you can, they seem to break a lot or atleast on my brothers GSR they did.

yep, very common on the JRSC setups

Note below: stock B18C1 with "8psi" pulley and AEM EMS, boost tapers off in the higher RPM's

one of my buds had one back in 01, same thing happened. Couldnt really find the cure for it ourselves either. His setup was more around the 10-12 psi setup, after trying a custom made pulley to correct it.

well, the problem with the torque is belt slippage. i've tuned plenty of POS JRSC setups to know. superchargers are parasites. they suck, and i'm sorry for anyone who wasted their money on them.

and BTW- dynopacks show higher numbers than dynojets, so it would make like 210 on a dynojet. tighten your belts, and re-tune. let's see an a/f graph, and i'd love to see the timing table as well

IIRC, dynapack's can show higher or lower numbers than a dynojet. It all depends on what you set the length of the run to on the dynapack.
