How To Differentiate between B18CR and B18C GSR?
Anybody here can teach me how to differentiate between B18CR and B18C GSR Blocks. I want to buy B18CR blocks for my B16A head applications. I don't want to be cheated by the seller. ANy picture for my good reference. Thanks.

Well you can tell if you look at the top of the piston. On a JDM GSR the piston it should read P72 and if it is a ITR piston it should read P73. http://www.ff-squad.com/pistons.htm

ALSO THE BLOCK IS CLEARLY STAMPED B18C1 OR B18C5 IF ITS A JDM MOTOR THEN LOOK AT THE PISTONS IF ITS P72 GSR P73 ITR, IF THERE AFTERMARKET AND A JDM BLOCK U MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE

As the posts said above, USDM look at the block, JDM look at the pistons.

.. Just so you know 9SpreludeH8 the JDM b18c(GSR) and the JDM b18c(Type-R) both are just b18c, unlike the USDM b18c1(GSR) and the B18c5(type-R)
