Default DC2R bogging issue - SOLVED

Hey guys,

I seem to be having a bogging issue with my Australian delivered DC2R (B18C7)

One very cold days I sometimes get a slight bog, usually under 3k rpm but as soon as I give it some throttle it goes away. This will only happen about 1-3 times throughout a drive.

This also happens when the car is hot. Let's say I turn it off and turn it back on (like filling fuel and leaving the station), it'll bog in low rpm but I give it some gas and it goes away and doesnt come back.

I've done the following so far but still no fix.

New plugs
New leads
New dizzy cap
New dizzy rotor
New fuel filter
New air filter
Calibrated the TPS
Cleaned IACV
Cleaned intake manifold
New O2 sensor
Checked Dizzy timing, it's spot on
New PCV valve

Next on the list is to get the injectors cleaned and flow tested

The engine is completely stock apart from a simota CAI and a Fujitsubo power getter cat back.

Any other suggestions or anyone else had the same problem?

I have a "flooded" start when I start my car to just move it briefly and then shut it off. i.e. moving my car from my garage to the driveway. then when i start it back up feels like the engine is flooded (almost like the engine has big lobe cams) and once i rev the engine a few times, the idle goes back to normal. But I've never experienced this while driving, only on these start ups after moving the car an extremely short distance.

I believe there is another member who had leaky injectors, but had the same symptoms I have, but I don't think he had issues while driving.

My uneducated opinion is that it may be your injector(s). Please keep us updated, and good luck!

So my bogging issue hasnt got any better with clean injectors, and seems to be happening abit more frequently now.

I'm now getting some idle issues every now and then (started before getting injectors cleaned), so I will clean out the IACV again.

Anyone have any more suggestions? Fuel pressure regulator?

Next thing to try would be swapping the FPR, MAP sensor, and fuel pump with known working ones. Worth a shot.

So yesterday the car threw a code 41. Mate of mind was kind enough to give me a near new O2 sensor so out with the old.

Safe to say the issue has been resolved now, did not feel any bogging while driving today.

Will still give the IACV a clean though.

Thanks for all the help guys!
