Default 620 BUCKS for 30,000 mile service?

My ITR just hit 30,000 miles a few days ago, and I called the local dealership to set up an appointment for the 30,000 service, which is apparently pretty major. They said it would cost 620 BUCKS!!!! Does this sound right to you all? That seems ridiculously high for a scheduled service. WHat have you guys been paying for the 30K service?

I paid around 390 for my 30000 mile service. I know it can depend on the area you live in. But reguardless that still seems way too much. Call around other Acura dealerships. I dont trust any Acura dealerships, I've been screwed over too many times. But luckily I have a friend who is a certified Honda Mech. so he charges me less than half the dealership price for any of the services. Anyways, Good Luck!

Look at the things that need to be done, you can do it by your self. Valve Adjust, Tranny Fluid, Oil Change ex. Says in your Drivers Manual...not hard to do.

ncitrdude, have Willard do the work. He'll hook you up and he's practically a Honda/Acura mech.

how much did they charge you for your headlight fluid change? Some times they add a few $$ for that service.

Trying to find out who quoted him $620. That's about $320 more than normal dealer prices, which is about $220 more than it's worth already.

Harris Acura =

Performance Acura in chapel hill. I'm just pissed because I got my car from there, and didn't expect them to try and gouge the hell out of the price. I like going there since its so close, but I'll have to find somewhere else now. Leith in Raleigh quoted 276 (without alignment and fuel injector cleaner, which i'm assuming is pretty pointless anyways), so i'm gonna do it there. I would try and do everything myself, but I don't have the tools or the time in the next few weeks with school and all. THanks for all the input everyone...

Performance quoted me $250 for a 15k mile, which for the stuff I wanted, was pretty much a 30k mile (valve adjustment, etc).

Give Willard a holler - he's the owner/proprietor/parts guy/mechanic of Harris Acura

ps - he lives exactly 2 hours from Autopark Honda/Leith Acura (on hwy 64 near Apex). Close enough to be well worth it.

$620?? Does that include the VASELINE? Go somewhere else or have Willard do it. I would have Willard do the service. Maybe he'll take BEER as a payment..
