36mm jdm 5 lug. what axles do i use on my b series
want to buy a 36mm jdm itr five lug and the axles are 36mm hub instead of 32mm the importer didnt send me axles just like most. Ive heard that a 99-00 CRV axle will work same as stock axle and switch the ends to k20 style ends and it will work. does anyone know if its correct. because another friend said he tried a crv axle and its longer and makes a clunking noise. can anyone whose done jdm 5 lug conversion on a b series integra give me advice

I have not tried 5speed CRV axles, but 97-98 Prelude axles work just fine. They are the same length, have the 32mm inside and 36mm outside (to hub). It's what I use.

Can anyone confirm that a 97-98 Prelude axles will fit for a integra with b-series with jdm itr 36mm 5 lug conversion will work for both driver side and passenger side?

it fits with no problems? i called a parts shop. they said the prelude ones are 3/4 of an inch longer then usdm type r axles. not to sure if it makes the difference tho.

Re: 36mm jdm 5 lug. what axles do i use on my b series
On my car I took prelude outters and put them on stock b series halfshafts. Took about 20 minutes and cost me like 12 bucks for the outers from the junkyard and 2 new axle bands.

I tried to rebuild the axles with b-series shafts and H-series outers. No luck. I got 96 prelude axles, no workie. I finally ran across someone who had the same setup, told me 97 prelude axles worked. Frustrated, I went out got a remanufactured axle, put it in, and voila.
I've had the new motor and the ITR setup on my car for over a year. I replaced the Pass. side axle that came with the setup right away with a Prelude axle and so far no problems. The original driver side axle was replaced last summer for another Prelude axle. Still no problems.
Are you just being ****? Or are you still skeptical of my experiences?

Glad i found this thread, taking my gsr axles to the axle shop tmrw and having them put 97-98 prelude outers on my gsr bseries axles.
Wondering why everyone is buying the whole axle though...?

I have the 36mm jdm 5 lug conversion and it came with axles. For the passenger side I swapped the innver axle to the 36mm axle. But for the driver side it seems that my gsr axle is longer than the jdm axle? Do I swap the outer axle of my gsr with the jdm ones? Or, do I just did what I did for the passenger side?

Yes, 97 Prelude cv shafts, both driver and passenger side. I'm using a B16 halfshaft to an LS transmission.

Re: 36mm jdm 5 lug. what axles do i use on my b series
Hi guys,
Here is my setup,
36 mm JDM ITR hubs
B series CV shaft
K20a Outter joints
K20a inner joints
exact same lenght as the previous OEM B series axles before used on 32 mm axles.
I have now problem, it's hard to find B series CV shaft, so I need a replacement for that.
Does the H series CV shaft have the same lenght as B series?

I just found out that the prelude passenger axle is longer so when you tighten the axle bolt it won't spin

No they are different but probably the same in length and size. But I just got the 97-98 prelude base model axle to work on my passenger side there's this black ring I had to remove then it spins freely cus it wouldn't spin with it on just like the problem the guy was having a few post up saying his car wouldn't move.

Me. I am using 97 Prelude axles in both driver/pass sides. My EK has a B16 with JDM ITR 36mm 5-lug conversion. The driver side will fit the b-series halfshaft. Take my word for what it's worth. I've helped several other folks with the same question with success.
I can NOT confirm the CRV axles however.

Re: 36mm jdm 5 lug. what axles do i use on my b series
Hi guys,
currently building a jdm eg4 with a ukdm k20a2 engine and got confused with everyones theories. Basically i bought dc2 96 spec knuckles (4x114.3) for the fronts and was wondering if the 5x114.3 hub and bearing ONLY would fit my 96 spec knuckle since here in malta is easier to get 5x114.3 rims. Yes i know that i could have bought the whole 5 lug conversion but they are getting extremely expensive. Thanks
