Default Will b18a tranny work fine with b18b engine?

I got a guy on honda-tech selling his 1993 Acura Integra LS 5 - speed tranny, for a good price. I have a 96+ LS motor , but my tranny is AUTOmatic. I plan to do the tranny swap really soon. I'm not to worried if this tranny will bolt right on because I'm sure that it will. My main concern is if I will loose any potential with my engine because of the older tranny. What do you guys think? Should i buy this b18a tranny and put it on my b18b? Or should i just get a b18b tranny and stop cheaping out? BTW the tranny has 50k on it... THANKS!

It should bolt up, but the rear mount is a lil different. Other HT members should know...

They are the same tranny gear wise, but the 93 and under B18a/b's is a cable tranny. you'll have to get a hydro to cable conversion kit if thats what u want to do, not worth while in my opinion. I think HAsport has the kits.
