Default why do my new brakes grind? :(

i have a '95 GS-R, and have had the following done in the past year:

*new rotors front and rear in december
*new master cylinder in december
*new pads, front and rear last month

when i come to a stop, i hear grinding and can feel it in the pedal. it gets worse when the brakes are hot or if i try a sudden stop.

i brought it back to the shop, but they say everything is ok.

could it be the pads they used? or possibly a stuck caliper? the car stops fine, but the noise/friction is annoying.

thx

spin the wheel while the car is up on stands and see if you notice anything. at least that was the problem with mine

One night my brakes began to grind really badly, sounded like metal to metal contact, I jumped out and got a flash light, but couldn't see anything wrong with them. I got into the car and drove down the block and the grinding stopped, and never came back since last autocross event but it went away after driving a few feet.

I have hawk hps.

I have a 95 and I had to replace all the same stuff you did front pads, rear pads, front and rear rotors, and did my master cyl 2 months ago.. anyway what type of pads are you using? my Hawk HPS and Brembo blanks have a little noise when their still cold after a few stops the noise goes away... but when their cold/sitting overnite they tend to grind and make some noise more than usual... it stops great so I just ignore it...
