Trunk side panel trim -- how to remove???
I'm trying to pullout the side panelling in my trunk .. if not all out, I just enough so I can reach my hand behind there (im trying to install a cargo net that screws all the way thru).
I've removed all the bolts and clips, but it seems to be somehow attatched near the top, and Im not sure how I should proceed w/ yanking this sucker..

just pull it gently and it'll come off. just make sure you got all the bolts out first.
i had to deal with that damn panel a lot to install my s2000 mast.

Keep in mind that the side panel is a single piece from the back all the way up to the doors. I had to take the entire thing out to install speakers back there, and it was a major pain. Rear trim panel and rear seats all have to come out before you can get the side panels out.

it wasnt that difficult, you need to remove the top of your rear seats first. all you do is take a flathead screw driver, and start popping out the clips, took me about 5 mins per side.

Taking it off is actually easy if you pull it really gentle from the top. The top side where the hatch meets the body is connected by small metal clips. Be careful not to brake them off since they're held on by weak *** plastic.
Putting it back on is a kind of a PITA because you have to pull it from behind to make it fit perfect.

Re: Trunk side panel trim -- how to remove??? (Calavera)
Thanks for the help guys.
In the end, I had to give it a pretty big tug (more than I had expected) for it to come out. Putting it back wasn't an issue .. (line it up and smack it )
End of the day:
Missing 1 plastic clip (interior panel)
Missing 2 clip retainers (from the strut tower covers)
Missing 1 10mm bolt (wtf did it go .. grr)
Cargo Net installed

What I bought was a cheap aftermarket from canadian tire.. $15(cdn). The mounting hooks it comes with uses double sided tape + screws/speed nuts.. I had to open up the panels to get the nuts back there.
I'm sure you can order whichever OEM one was made for the 4dr teg, but I'd imagine it'd cost obviously alot more. The 4dr teg from what I understand already has mounting points for the oem net.
