Anyone know about Tenzo lowering springs?? I'm looking for a set just to lower, nothing really crazy, the shop here can give me a good deal on them so just seeing what everyone thinks.

Tenzo springs are relatively cheaper in the "springs" area. If you're looking for something simple and cheap just to lower the car a little, then these would be no problem at all.

But check on some sites and look for H&R, Progress, Neuspeed. If you're just looking for springs, they aren't too expensive. Usually around $200 or less.

the difference between $125 and $180 isn't that much.. for $180 you can find Eibach Sportlines.... and for around $200.. you can find Eibach, H&R, Neuspeed, and other Reputable/quality manufacturers... for a difference of about $65 you can go w/ a quality manufacturer.. rather than save a few bucks.. and maye having to buy a new set later... I'd rather pay a little more and buy it once from a reputable manufacturer.. than to buy cheap stuff.. end up not liking it or having it fail.. then having to pay more to buy what you should have the first time around.. I've had my Eibach sportlines for over 3 yrs w/o a problem.. I got them for $180.....

I wouldn't buy anything Tenzo.. my friend bought a set of Tenzo fog lights.. and the cheap reflector housing material started to peel and flake off as the fog light heated up.... Tenzo is up there (or more so.. down there) w/ Maxspeed, APC, OBX, Ractive, Arospeed, and all those other rice companies.. Tenzo ..

another one of my friends bought a Tenzo exhaust (this was in college when we were all students/poor).. that thing was loud as hell.. then it rusted out and was even louder.. he got cited for it too...

w/ the Tenzo springs.. get ready for sagging and that slammed look...

I always figure that if the springs are progressive, I add an extra .25" to .5" in lowering.

A friend of mine has those on his car, and they're a lot lower than 1.6". You can barely get half a finger in the fenderwell gap. That's more like a 2.25" to 2.5" drop.

Edit: And, yeah....for a little extra money, you'll get a much better product.

the lowering on the Tenzo springs on my frenz car was similar to the lowering on another friends car w/ Intrax springs.. its SLAMMED!!! yeah drop is like 2.25-2.5" its as if the car/tires sits on the fenders..

Hmm...maybe I'll rethink this a bit, thanks for the facts everyone. Like it was mentioned earlier, I am in college and this means a lack of funds.

I was in college when i got my suspension stuff too.. this doesn't mean you skimp on quality. you just eat ramyun and save up longer Lolz haha... anyway.. if you buy cheap stuff.. then end up not liking it.. or it fails.. then u have to buy the good stuff.. you end up paying more.. initial cost of the cheap stuff + cost of replacement/good stuff.....

if you just start off buying the quality parts (which isnt that much .. ~$200) you buy it once and don't have to worry about it failing, saggin, etc.. you end up spending LESS.. thats how I see things... I'd rather pay more and get the quality/reputable brands first (and save up) than go for lower quality/cheaper stuff.. thats just me tho..
